Stadium

Kyocera Stadion, until 2010 called ADO Den Haag Stadion, replaced ADO’s old Zuiderpark Stadion, which could not meet modern demands in terms of facilities. Construction of the new stadium started late 2005 and finished in time for the start of the 2007/08 season.

Kyocera Stadion officially opened on the 28th of July 2007. The first match was played between ADO Den Haag and a selection of non-league players from the region.

The stadium has an exterior of glowing aluminium. Its design allows for an easy expansion to double its current capacity.

In 2010, ADO announced a naming rights deal, which resulted in the name change to Kyocera Stadion.

  • Hospitality Entrance

Kyocera Stadium is a full functional stadium which meets all the necessary requirements from a hospitality standpoint. The hospitality entrance is centrally located and within easy reach of the parking lots. Upon entering you are welcomed by some friendly hostesses that guide you to The Brasserie where diner is served.

    Restaurant

Before the game a three course dinner is served in The Brasserie, which is a trendy looking restaurant that is located beneath the main stands. The downside of this is that there are no pitch views from the restaurant. The Brasserie comes with a fully licensed bar and dedicated waiting staff. Although having visited many hospitality dining areas, this one is slightly different in a sense that it is much more trendy looking, almost as if you enter a lounge style restaurant. Sportz Guru was welcomed with a pre-diner drink before we were escorted to our table.

As we have visited ADO Den Haag twice and having experienced two different diners we can say that the quality of the food is very good. This is where The Brasserie stands out form other venues. Sportz Guru was served deer, ribeye, salmon and some sumptuous deserts. This accompanied by some great bread selection and inclusive of soft drinks, beer and wine made it a memorable experience. What The Brasserie needs to be aware of is that the waiting staff was quite inexperienced (young, forgot orders, lack of attention) which resulted in some miscommunications, lack of service and attention. This could have easily be prevented in our view. During diner a club representative (former ADO Den Haag legend Rick Hoogendorp) gave a small talk and elaborated on the team sheets. A nice touch.

    Business lounge

In essence part of the Business Club comes with access to 3 different lounges (The Brasserie where diner is served, The Business Lounge during half time and The Ooievaar after the match). During half time we were met in The Business Lounge. This was nothing spectacular but just a big lounge where you could have a drink before making one selves ready for the second half. The Ooievaar on the other hand was a real treat after the match. Here you will see some local folk singers and a trio of pianists playing today’s hits. It goes without saying that this is where the party started! This is also a good opportunity to spend your drink coins that are included in the package!

    Seating

Here is where we have some mixed signals, both positive and negative. The seating itself and the chairs are of good quality with some very good pitch views. So far about the positives. The negatives are that there is almost no guidance from The Brasserie towards your business seats. Here some extra stewards or stewards that are aware of the seating plans could really help. Next to this we encountered another issue which is that the seats at the main stand where the business seats are located could be easily accessed by regular ticket holders (we have seen this happening) and by doing so allowing people at the main stand who didn’t pay for this sitting at your seats. A missed opportunity that should be addressed by management. ADO Den Haag Review Hospitality Ticket.

    Good to know

ADO Den Haag provides some very good hospitality packages which can be found at their website. Good to prepare in advance. They generally make a split between Business Seats L and R (Left side Main Stand and Right side Main Stand). Sportz Guru was located in the L section. No difference between L or R.
